November Favourites

As we all know, December is fast approaching so it only seems right to do my November favourites!
I've been loving a lot of things this month and everything in this post I have been using for at least a few months so I can assure you they are all tried and tested.

1 - Batiste Dry Shampoo in 'Floral and Flirty Blush'.
I know how well loved Batiste is - it truly works wonders. I knew the original version was great so I thought I'd give the scented variety a try and I have fallen in love with them! So far I have only tried 'Floral and Flirty Blush' but I'm hugely excited to try all of the other smells in the range!

2 - Tangle Teezer
For pretty much the whole of my life I have battled with knotty and hard to brush hair so when I received the 'Tangle Teezer' for Christmas a few years ago I was very eager to give it a go and I can tell you how brilliantly it works! With a normal hairbrush, I am constantly in pain from brushing out the dread-lock like clumps of hair but the Tangle Teezer effortlessly brushes through the hair completely pain free! I also love the bright pink colour of mine, as well as pink you can get them in all different colours and designs. They're a total bargain at under £10 and worth every penny.

3 - Tommy Girl Fragrance by Tommy Hilfiger
I'm not usually one for perfumes but I have finally found a scent I like! It's a very hard smell to describe and I appreciate that the smell won't be for everyone but if you want a better idea of what it's like, there is a good description here. It looks a little pricey however I got mine from TK Maxx so it was a lot more affordable.

4 - Stylfile Nail File
Recently, I've been taking a lot better care of my nails and this is a nail file I would recommend within an instant. The guy who created it is called Tom Pellereau - he won The Apprentice in 2011 and it's such a clever design which makes it really easy to shape the nails well!

5 - Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish
I know this product is quite big with a lot of beauty bloggers/youtubers but it really is excellent! It is a cleansing cream you apply to your face then remove with a hot muslin cloth. I love the smell and feel of it and it always relaxes me in the evenings before bed. It has done my skin the world of good, if I have a particularly bad spot it will be much improved overnight if I use this.
I suppose you could say it is at the pricey end, my 200ml bottle was around £25 but it has lasted me for absolutely ages - a little goes a long way.

6 - John Frieda 'Go Blonder' Lightening Spray
This one will only apply to blondes, but it is a sort of peroxide spray that lightens blonde hair whilst still looking really natural. My hair goes very light blonde in the summer and I love it but it goes back quite dark in the winter so I spray this on and it lightens it. It's really cheap and looks super natural and it is just great!

7 - Free Disposable Make-Up Applicators
This one's a bit of a weird one - basically I love the free little make up applicators you can pick up from counters in boots/superdrug etc. I think most of the main counters have them, like Chanel or Clarins and Aveda always have them.
The clean mascara wands are particularly useful for removing clumps/ excess mascara without having to start the make up look again. So when you are next passing, pick some up!

8 - Bastille
Steering away from make up and beauty now,  my final pick is Bastille. You won't have had to be reading my blog for very long to know that I love, love, LOVE Bastille! I'm super excited at the moment as two of my friends and I have tickets to see them live in March. My favourite Bastille songs would probably have to be 'Of the Night', 'No Angels' and oh I could just go on for ages I love them all! If anyone knows who will be supporting them in March 2014 please let me know in the comments below...
There are still tickets available for dates this year here although you could shop around a bit because they look quite expensive and my tickets were only around £25 for standing. Make sure you go and buy their album here

Thank you for reading my November Favourites. I was thinking of doing my next post on a Christmas gift guide, so let me know if this is something you'd be interested in!
